The flower spikes of Delphinium 'Red Lark' are packed with tall, semi-double flowers and are perfect for cut flowers. The flower spikes are heavy and need to be staked to avoid toppling in harsh weather. Deadheading can encourage a second bloom in late summer or fall. Red Larkspur produces glossy, green, deeply lobed foliage, which will remain green throughout the season. Red Larkspur has a medium growth rate, and can live up to 10 years under ideal conditions. It prefers to grow in full sun to partial shade, and in well-drained moist soil. Red Lark Delphinium can grow up to 3 feet in height and 2 feet wide.
