Description Henry Salt, Engravings of Pagoda at Ramisseran, Ruins of the Port these prints are from a series twenty-four views taken in the Cape, India, Ceylon, The Red Sea, Abyssinia and Egypt. Salt from England was a watercolorist and studied under Joseph Farrington and John Hoppner. In 1802 he did a tour of India and Ceylon as secretary and draughtsman to British peer George Annesley, Vicount Valentia.
